Dual-technology ABS hard tag, 72 × 30 × 20 mm, with a hook lock: UHF RFID (860–960 MHz, 2–5 m) for inventory plus AM 58 kHz or RF 8.2 MHz EAS.
The LT-120 lets a retailer run RFID inventory and electronic article surveillance from the same reusable tag. A UHF chip gives each item a readable EPC for stock counts, and an EAS element triggers the store's existing exit gates if the tag leaves unreleased. The ABS body is 72 × 30 × 20 mm and uses a hook-lock cylinder.
On the RFID side, an Impinj Monza R6 chip sits on an antenna rated for 860–960 MHz. That covers readers on the FCC 902–928 MHz band and the ETSI 865–868 MHz band, so one tag specification can serve stores in both regions. Listed read distance is 2–5 m (up to 16 ft) with a UHF reader, which is enough to count a rail of garments or a shelf of shoes from the aisle.
For EAS, choose the element that matches your pedestals: AM 58 kHz (LT-120-AM) or RF 8.2 MHz (LT-120-RF). Each tag carries one of the two.
A hook lock is opened with a hook-type detacher rather than a magnetic one, so check the tools at your tills before switching from magnetic-lock tags such as the LT-110. Encode EPCs with an EPC Gen2 reader-writer before tagging, and trial the tag on samples to confirm gate detection and detacher release.

Plan RFID for warehouse management: fixed readers and circular antennas at dock doors, conveyor tunnels, handheld cycle counts and on-metal asset tags.
Build an RFID asset tracking system: on-metal, ceramic and tie-on tags matched to each asset, handheld audits, smart cabinets and IP67 HF heads for tooling.
It has a hook-lock cylinder, so it is released with a hook-type detacher, not a magnetic one. Try samples with your current tools before ordering.
Yes, as two versions: LT-120-AM carries an AM 58 kHz element and LT-120-RF an RF 8.2 MHz element. A single tag does not carry both.
Yes. The UHF antenna is rated for 860–960 MHz, which includes the FCC 902–928 MHz and ETSI 865–868 MHz reader bands.
The listed range is 2–5 m (up to 16 ft) with a UHF reader. Expect less on metal displays or in dense stacks.
Compare UHF RFID reader bands by country, including US, EU, UK, China, India and Japan. Understand ERP, EIRP, channel conditions and radio approvals.
Wire a UHF reader's D0, D1 and ground to your controller, match 26/34-bit Wiegand, size 12 V power and trigger the barrier by relay. Diagrams included.
Yes, RFID works on metal with tags built for it. See why metal detunes standard tags, compare ABS, PCB, ceramic and label tags, and test read range properly.
