Low-profile FR4 PCB on-metal UHF tag, 52 × 13 × 3.9 mm, NXP UCODE 8. Reads 8 m on metal with a 4 W fixed reader, 3.5 m with a handheld.
OM-180 is a hard FR4 circuit-board tag for metal assets where an ABS housing would be too bulky. At 52 × 13 × 3.9 mm it suits tools, instruments, IT hardware, medical equipment and firearms, and it is rigid enough to be fixed mechanically through the hole at each end.
The datasheet quotes 8 m on a metal surface with a 4 W fixed reader and 3.5 m with an Impinj R2000-based handheld, from a board under 4 mm thick. The chip is an NXP UCODE 8, and the tag is listed for 902–928 MHz and 866–868 MHz. Order OM-180-US or OM-180-EU to match your reader's regional band.
Within our PCB range, OM-180 sits between the long-range OM-190 (90 × 20 mm, 10 m) and the compact OM-200 (25 × 10 mm, 3 m). It is a good default when you want fixed-reader range from a tag that still fits on a tool body or equipment rail.
Mount the tag flat against the metal. The datasheet lists no hole size, adhesive or potting option, so confirm your fixing method on samples; screws, rivets or industrial adhesive are all common for PCB tags of this size. Because the chip is EPC Gen2, you can encode your own numbering with any Gen2 reader-writer.
