Access Control Rain Cover for Keypads & Readers, ABS: overview
WS-110 is an ABS rain cover that shields access control terminals, keypads and card readers on exterior walls, gate posts and parking entrances from rain, direct sun and dust. It works for access control, time-attendance, payment and other control terminals, and it helps protect devices mounted in exposed spots.
Two sizes are available. WS-110-245 is the larger hood at 142 × 245 × 83 mm, with a roomy interior for taller terminals, a front flap that opens and closes through 135°, and an IP56 protection rating stated for the cover. WS-110-150 is a compact 150 × 104 × 90 mm shield weighing 0.25 kg for smaller readers and keypads.
ABS is non-metallic, so it does not shield 125 kHz or 13.56 MHz reader fields, and cards can still be read with the cover fitted.
Integration notes
Only outer dimensions are published, so compare your device's height, width and depth with the cover before ordering and leave room for the cable entry. Mount the cover tight to the wall so water runs off the top rather than behind the device, and keep the reader's own weather rating in mind: the cover adds protection but does not replace it.

Which size do I need?
Compare your device with the outer dimensions: 142 × 245 × 83 mm for WS-110-245 and 150 × 104 × 90 mm for WS-110-150. Inner dimensions are not published, so send us your device size and we will confirm the fit.
Will cards still read with the cover fitted?
Yes. ABS is non-metallic and does not shield 125 kHz or 13.56 MHz reader fields.
Does the cover make my reader IP56?
No. IP56 is stated for the WS-110-245 cover itself; it adds rain, sun and dust protection, but the device keeps its own rating.
What is the 135° flap for?
The WS-110-245 front flap swings open through 135° for access to the keypad or screen and closes back over the device when not in use.
