Two-piece Z and L aluminum bracket that lets a 280 kg (600 lb) magnetic lock secure a door opening toward the lock side; brushed finish, screws included.
A surface-mount magnetic lock normally sits on the side of the frame the door closes toward, so the door face lands flat on the magnet. When the door instead opens toward the lock side, as most inward-opening doors do with the lock on the room side, the lock body would sit in the door's path. EL-140 solves this with two parts: a Z-plate that repositions the lock body on the header and an L-plate that carries the armature on the door, so both faces meet squarely when the door closes.
Both parts are high-strength aluminum alloy with a brushed (wire-drawn) finish and measure 250 × 28 × 48 mm and 180 × 50 × 50 mm. The set weighs about 0.7 kg and ships with a screw pack. It is made for 280 kg (600 lb) magnetic locks on wooden, metal and fire doors that swing one way through 90°.
Getting the geometry right matters: a maglock only reaches its rated holding force when the armature pulls straight off the lock face, so a bracket that holds both parts rigidly and parallel is part of the lock's performance, not just a mounting accessory.
The plate dimensions follow our 250 mm lock bodies with 180 × 38 mm armatures, such as EL-190, EL-200 and EL-110. Check the door-top thickness and the clearance between frame stop and door before drilling. For frameless glass doors use the EL-150 U bracket instead, and where the header is simply too narrow for the lock body, the EL-160 L bracket.

When the door opens toward the side where the lock is mounted, which is typical of inward-opening doors. The Z-plate positions the lock body and the L-plate holds the armature so the two meet when the door closes.
It is made for 280 kg (600 lb) magnetic locks, and its plates follow our 250 mm bodies with 180 × 38 mm armatures, such as EL-190, EL-200 and EL-110. If you are fitting another lock, send us its model and we will check the hole pattern.
It is listed for wooden, metal and fire doors. For frameless glass leaves use the EL-150 U bracket, which clamps glass 8–15 mm thick.
The Z-plate, the L-plate and one screw pack. The magnetic lock is ordered separately.
