280 kg (600 lb) Single Door Magnetic Lock, 12/24 V DC: overview
EL-200 is the base 280 kg (600 lb) magnetic lock in our range: a single-door, surface-mount electromagnetic lock for doors that need to be held and released without status feedback. It pairs with any access controller, standalone keypad or exit button that can switch a 12 V or 24 V DC lock supply.
The 250 × 47 × 26 mm body is high-strength aluminum alloy, assembled with hex-socket (Allen) screws that are harder to remove with everyday tools, and it weighs 2 kg. A 180 × 38 × 11 mm armature plate mounts on the door leaf. Current draw is 480 mA at 12 V DC or 240 mA at 24 V DC.
Like all maglocks it is fail-safe: the door releases the moment the supply is interrupted, which suits escape routes and fire-alarm release. There is no built-in delay, so door-open time comes from the controller, keypad or a timed exit button. Where the controller needs to know whether the door is secured, EL-190 is the same lock with an NO/NC status output.
Integration notes
Mount the body on the header on the side the door closes toward, with the armature meeting the lock face squarely. For doors that open toward the lock side use the EL-140 ZL bracket; for narrow headers the EL-160 L bracket; for frameless glass leaves the EL-150 U bracket. It is listed for wooden, glass, metal and fire doors.

Does EL-200 report door or lock status?
No, it has no signal output. For status feedback choose EL-190, which is the same lock with NO/NC status contacts.
Can a standalone keypad drive it directly?
Yes, if the keypad relay can switch a 12 V DC load of at least 480 mA. Check the keypad relay rating against the lock current before wiring.
What power supply do I need?
480 mA at 12 V DC or 240 mA at 24 V DC for the lock. Add the other devices plus 25–50% headroom; a 12 V 3 A supply such as PW-120 covers a typical single door.
Which bracket fits an inward-opening door?
Use the EL-140 ZL bracket when the door opens toward the lock side. Its plates follow this lock’s 250 mm body and 180 × 38 mm armature.
