Dual-frequency OEM module for EM4100-family and 13.56 MHz MIFARE, DESFire, FeliCa and ICODE credentials, without HID formats, on a 30 × 16 × 8.8 mm board.
The XM-150 reads 125 kHz EM4100, EM4102, EM4200, EM4305 and EM4450 credentials and a broad 13.56 MHz set: MIFARE Classic, DESFire EV1/EV2, Ultralight and Ultralight C, FeliCa, ICODE, CEPAS, CPU cards and NFC Forum Type 1–5 tags. It is aimed at projects where EM fobs and MIFARE or FeliCa cards are the norm and HID formats are not required — residential door stations, elevator control, EV charging and self-service terminals.
FeliCa support and the Japan Radio Law listing make it a candidate for equipment going to Japan, while ISO/IEC 14443A/B, ISO/IEC 15693 and ISO/IEC 18092 coverage handles most other smart-card and NFC deployments. The board measures 30 × 16 × 8.8 mm, weighs about 2.0 g and is rated from –40 to +85 °C. It has no Bluetooth radio; the XM-170 is the BLE 5.1 version with the same card list.
The 6-pin, 2.0 mm pitch header provides 5 V DC, GND, a 3.3 V TTL UART at 115200 bps and USB full-speed (12 Mbps) data lines, with Windows 10/8.1/8/7, Linux, Android and macOS listed as supported hosts. Both antennas are external and plug into a 4-pin, 1.25 mm connector: a 490 µH ±10 µH coil for 125 kHz and a 50 Ω antenna for 13.56 MHz. Current is ≤ 190 mA with the RF field on and ≤ 30 mA off. Firmware is upgraded over the serial port with the supplied configuration tool. CE, FCC, RoHS and Japan Radio Law approvals are listed; ask for the test reports for your compliance file.
