Two-piece UHF RFID button ear tag, Ø30 × 14.6 mm with a closed-hole socket, nylon core and TPU shell; reads at 6–7 m on a fixed reader for group reading at gates and races.
The LV-110 is a UHF RFID ear tag for pig farms and other livestock operations that want to read animals in groups as they pass a gate, alley or weigh station. Each tag carries an Alien Higgs-9 EPC Gen2 chip whose unique ID becomes the animal's electronic identity, linked in your herd software to breed, origin, performance, vaccination and health records.
This is the closed-hole version: the button has a sealed socket, and the tag measures Ø30 × 14.6 mm. The body uses a modified-nylon skeleton inside a TPU (polyurethane) shell, pairing a stiff core with a flexible outer surface. The through-hole LV-120 is the same tag with an open socket and a 13.2 mm height.
UHF lets a 4 W fixed reader pick up tags at 6–7 m, so animals do not have to be caught and scanned one by one. A handheld reader works at about 0.5 m, which suits spot checks in a pen. If a disease or product-quality problem appears, the recorded IDs let you trace each animal back to its source.
The tag is specified for 902–928 MHz only. It is not a 134.2 kHz ISO 11784/11785 (FDX-B) tag, so where national rules mandate LF official ID, use it as a management tag alongside the official one. Confirm fit with your applicator pliers on a sample before volume orders.

| LV-110-US | UHF RFID pig ear tag, closed hole, Ø30 × 14.6 mm, nylon + TPU, Alien Higgs-9, 902–928 MHz |
UHF RFID livestock tags for group reads at races, gates and scales: ear tags, fixed readers, outdoor antennas and handhelds that work alongside 134.2 kHz ID.
No. It is a UHF tag (902–928 MHz), not an ISO 11784/11785 FDX-B or HDX tag. Where official LF identification is required, fit it as an additional management tag.
The LV-110 closed-hole version has a sealed socket and is 14.6 mm tall; the LV-120 through-hole version has an open socket and is 13.2 mm tall. Chip, material and read range are the same.
It is specified for 902–928 MHz only, and no EU-band version is listed. Test it with your reader before deploying in an ETSI-band region.
The datasheet lists 6–7 m with a 4 W fixed reader and 0.5 m with a handheld. Animal bodies absorb UHF energy, so position gate antennas to see the ear and test with a sample batch.

Wire a UHF reader's D0, D1 and ground to your controller, match 26/34-bit Wiegand, size 12 V power and trigger the barrier by relay. Diagrams included.
Yes, RFID works on metal with tags built for it. See why metal detunes standard tags, compare ABS, PCB, ceramic and label tags, and test read range properly.
