47 × 26 mm module with on-board antenna that reads 125 kHz EM cards, or EM plus 13.56 MHz MIFARE/DESFire/NTAG, over USB or a UART/Wiegand connection.
The HF-210 is an embeddable reader for devices that must accept 125 kHz EM proximity credentials, 13.56 MHz smart cards, or both. The dual-frequency builds read EM4100, EM4102, EM4200, EM4305 and EM4450 alongside ISO/IEC 14443A cards such as MIFARE Classic, DESFire EV1/EV2, Ultralight, Ultralight C, NTAG2xx and CPU cards, plus NFC Forum Type 1, 2 and 4 tags. Two lower-cost builds read 125 kHz EM credentials only.
Each frequency option comes with a choice of host link. The -U builds connect over USB at 12 Mbps and list Windows 10/8.1/8/7, Linux, Android and macOS as hosts. The -W-T builds offer either a 3.3 V-level UART at 115200 bit/s or Wiegand output on the same two pins, for microcontrollers and access controllers.
The antenna is built into the 47 × 26 × 4.8 mm board, and rated read distance is 0–3 cm depending on the card and installation. The module can read automatically whenever a card is presented or only when the host sends a read command, and a management tool updates its configuration parameters.
All builds use a 5-pin, 1.25 mm pitch connector with 5 V, ground and reset. On the UART/Wiegand builds, pin 2 is UART TXD or Wiegand D1 and pin 3 is UART RXD or Wiegand D0; on the USB builds those pins carry USB D– and D+. Supply is 5 V DC for UART builds or 4.3–5.5 V from USB. The module is rated –20 to +60 °C at 20–80% RH, non-condensing, and RoHS is listed.

Choose a dual-frequency build: HF-210-D-U for USB hosts or HF-210-D-W-T for UART or Wiegand. The -E builds read 125 kHz EM credentials only.
No. On the -W-T builds, pins 2 and 3 carry either UART (3.3 V, 115200 bit/s) or Wiegand, one or the other. Tell us which you need when ordering.
No. The 13.56 MHz side supports ISO/IEC 14443A and ISO/IEC 18092 cards. For ISO15693 or FeliCa in the same 47 × 26 mm footprint, see the HF-220 USB module.
0–3 cm, varying with card type and installation. The antenna is on the board, so keep metal away from the reading area.
Windows 10, 8.1, 8 and 7, Linux, Android and macOS are listed for the USB builds.
