1.9 mm thin, 47.7 × 25 mm HF module with an integrated antenna and 3.3 V TTL UART, for card reading inside tablets, handhelds and other slim hosts.
The HF-150 is a low-profile 13.56 MHz module for device designers with almost no height to spare. The board measures 47.7 × 25 mm and only 1.9 mm thick with its antenna integrated, and it runs from 3.3 V at under 100 mA, which suits the power rails and space budgets of tablets, handheld terminals and thin wall-mounted devices.
Three builds cover different card estates. The -MV build returns UIDs from MIFARE Classic 1K/4K, Ultralight, NTAG, FM11RF08 and FM1208 cards as well as ICODE (ISO/IEC 15693) tags and DESFire cards. The -MA build covers ISO/IEC 14443A cards up to FM1208 CPU cards, and the -AB build reads MIFARE Classic, Ultralight, NTAG and FM11RF08 UIDs with ISO/IEC 14443 Type B protocol support added. All three talk to the host over a 3.3 V TTL UART.
Rated read distance is 0–30 mm, so the module is intended for deliberate tap-to-identify steps such as member check-in, staff log-on or asset lookup rather than hands-free reading.
The 15-position J14 connection on 2.54 mm pitch carries VCC, ground, UART RXD/TXD, an external interrupt input (INT), SDA/SCL lines and an enable (EN) pin; several positions are unused. UART speed is configurable by command from 9600 to 115200 bit/s (default 115200). The datasheet names USB as an optional interface, but every listed build is TTL. Operating temperature is –10 to +50 °C, so check the thermal budget inside sealed handhelds. Demo software and an SDK are available.
