Compact 5 V TTL module with an external antenna for iCLASS-compatible card reading and writing, plus UID reading of MIFARE Classic, Ultralight, DESFire and NTAG2xx cards.
The HF-110 is a 30 × 16 mm, 5 V TTL card engine for OEMs whose users already carry iCLASS credentials and who need a small 13.56 MHz module for a terminal, locker, vending unit or asset station. The specification lists read and write support for iCLASS cards, and the same module returns UIDs from MIFARE Classic, MIFARE Ultralight, MIFARE DESFire and NTAG2xx cards.
Before you specify it, confirm two things with us: which iCLASS card generations and which data (card serial number only, or application data) the module can access, and how that access is implemented. The datasheet names ISO/IEC 14443A as the protocol and gives no further detail, so we answer both points in writing when we ship samples. iCLASS is a trademark of HID Global; the HF-110 is not an HID Global product and implies no affiliation.
The antenna is external and plugs into a 4-pin header, so the reading surface can sit wherever your enclosure needs it. Rated read distance is 0–70 mm, depending on the antenna, the card type and nearby materials.
The host link is a TTL UART on header J6 (TXD2/RXD2) running at 9600–115200 bit/s, set by command, with 115200 as the default; J6 also carries power and SCL/SDA lines. Header J5 takes the antenna (ANT1, ANT2 and two grounds), and J4 is a 5-pin SWD programming header. Supply is 5 V DC ±5% at under 200 mA, and the module operates from –10 to +70 °C at 15–90% RH.

Plan RFID for warehouse management: fixed readers and circular antennas at dock doors, conveyor tunnels, handheld cycle counts and on-metal asset tags.
Build an RFID asset tracking system: on-metal, ceramic and tie-on tags matched to each asset, handheld audits, smart cabinets and IP67 HF heads for tooling.
The specification lists iCLASS read/write but does not state which data areas or card generations are covered. We confirm the exact scope in writing before you commit to a volume order.
No. iCLASS is a trademark of HID Global and is used here only to describe card compatibility. The HF-110 is supplied independently and implies no affiliation with or endorsement by HID Global.
It returns UIDs of MIFARE Classic, MIFARE Ultralight, MIFARE DESFire and NTAG2xx cards.
The antenna is external and connects to header J5 (ANT1, ANT2 and two grounds). Read distance is rated at 0–70 mm and depends on the antenna you use, so state your antenna requirements in the RFQ.
TTL UART on J6 (TXD2, RXD2) at 9600–115200 bit/s, set by command, with 115200 as the default. Supply is 5 V DC ±5%.
Compare Wiegand, OSDP and RS485 reader interfaces: wiring, cable limits, AES-128 Secure Channel and steps for a compatible access-control migration.
125 kHz cards are cheap but easy to clone; 13.56 MHz cards add memory and, on DESFire-class chips, AES security. Compare range, chips, security and migration.
