Fail-safe 12 V DC electric drop bolt with a selectable 0/3/6/9 s time delay and 110 mA draw, for wood, metal, glass and fire doors. Fail-secure build on request.
EB-110 is a 12 V DC electric drop bolt for access-controlled doors that should open when power is removed. The standard build is fail-safe: once the supply is cut, the stainless-steel bolt retracts, so a power failure or a fire-alarm interlock leaves the door free. Where a door must stay locked without power, we can supply a fail-secure build as a custom order.
Inside the aluminum-alloy body, a microprocessor circuit drives the bolt, and photoelectric control is used to prevent mechanical faults. The design targets low power draw and cold conditions: operating current is 110 mA at 12 V DC ±10%, and the lock has passed a 500,000-cycle power-on aging test. Reverse-current protection with an MOV is built into the circuit. It fits wooden, metal, glass and fire doors, including double-swing and sliding doors.
Pick a 0, 3, 6 or 9 s time delay to hold the bolt clear while the user passes before it relocks. For fail-safe operation, feed the 12 V DC lock supply through the normally closed (NC) contact of the controller's lock relay. This model has no status output; choose EB-120 when the controller needs door-status feedback. The 200 × 28 × 39 mm body mounts in the frame behind its long faceplate, and the 90 × 25 × 2 mm strike plate goes into the door leaf. On frameless glass, add the EB-130 U bracket or the EB-140 glass bracket.

Apartment building access control hardware: anti-clone readers with matched fob sets, QR visitor codes, 4G controllers for rentals and UHF tags for gates.
Gym access control system hardware for 24/7 clubs: fob and wristband readers, face and QR terminals, anti-passback controllers and no-touch exit buttons.
Standard units are fail-safe: removing the 12 V DC supply retracts the bolt. A fail-secure version that stays locked without power can be built as a custom order.
It runs on 12 V DC ±10% and draws 110 mA in operation. Size your 12 V supply for the total load on the circuit plus 25–50% headroom.
It sets how long the bolt stays retracted after release before it relocks, giving users time to pass through. Choose 0 s for immediate relocking.
Yes, with a bracket sold separately. The EB-130 U bracket and the EB-140 glass bracket are both stainless steel and clamp glass 8–15 mm thick.
It is a low-temperature design, but no rated operating range is published for this model. Contact us for test data before specifying it for unheated or exterior-facing doors.
Maglock wiring with dry-relay COM/NC: keypad and reader diagrams, REX signals, approved egress release paths and manufacturer-specific suppression.
A fail-safe lock releases when power is cut; a fail-secure lock stays locked. Learn which to use per door, how to wire NO/NC, and what egress codes expect.
Program a standalone access control keypad: enter programming mode, change the master code, add card and PIN users, set relay time, reset and wire it.
